Haven't been here for a while... life is sure busy.

I was talking with a goat friend and she said that the local goat vet has told her not to use Ivermectin any more to worm her goats. I haven't talked with the vet but am wondering if anyone knows why the vet would tell us to stop using it in this area?

Has anyone around here heard this also?

It's suppose to be not as effective anymore and worms have grown a resistence because of over use.

My vets say the same thing, but I still use it and it is working! I just wormed my guys last week and
yesterday re-fecaled my one little guy that had the worse fecal results and his fecal was as clean as a bell.......I will continue with it until I see it not working.

What works for one breeder.... may not work for another....but..... if it isn't broke don't fix it...LOL I'd use it if it still works for your goats... :thumb:
