It's looking like the wekend after labor day I'll be getting 10 to 15 kiko does and a percentage boer buckling. I'm working on fences now, but I'm having trouble finding info on recommended vaccines for goats. With my cattle, they get worked twice a year, and I use combo vaccines for IBR/BVD etc. and worm them. The horses have a standard routine as well. Is there a generally accepted routine for preventative medicine for goats? I have been able to find some info on worming/parasites and have some idea how I'm gonna attack that problem, but I'm not sure about any other specific diseases or problems. Sorry to sound so ignorant on the subject, but I'm ignorant on the subject... :?

Most use the CD/T vaccine for their goats, Bar-Vac is one brand that is commonly available.

If your new goats have not been vaccinated, the reccommended routine would be 2 1/2 cc sub q and them another 21 days later, another dose 6 months later is ideal and then yearly afterwards.
