after lurking about for a week or so, i decided to sign up, and i wanted to introduce myself! so here i am! i just bought a couple of registered alpine goats in august, and i am learning as much as i can! so i apologize in advance if there are some silly questions from my direction... lol. i am gonna go digging through my photobucket in a little bit and posts pics of my two does, and see what you guys think. anyways, :leap: hello!

here's the pictures!!! i know they aren't show quality or anything, but i hope to improve on them, esp maple, and learn more about conformation, and what i need to look for in a buck.

Your darlings are cute. There is always something we can improve upon on our goats but in no way are they ugly. Are they registered?

in the shows in this area it is the same way. All the same bloodlines. So when I was asking a breeder if I could use her bucks she was like well if you have any does that came from Pocketsized then our buck would be to related. But I kind of gathered that it might be something like that in our area. So when I purchased my does for show I got one from a girl here on TGS (RunAround) up in Mass. Actually my first registered doe was from someone who bought her from a herd in PA. When I purchased my 3rd registered doe I was careful to check for different bloodlines and it is cool because they have some really nice animals but dont show besides 4H so this gives them a chance to see how their breeding program is doing. I will show her as a junior doe in 2009

boy that was LONG sorry

Welcome to The Goat spot. I have been gone for a while (Internet trouble and then surgery,OUCH).
I think your goats are very adorable. It doesn't matter if they are show quality or not, it is what they do to your heart. It only matters how beautiful they are to you. And they are beautiful
