Tomorrow I will be cutting my young goats from 3 bottles a day to 2, and I am wondering if I should substitute a bottle of electrolytes for the mid day. They have plenty of water to help themselves to, I am wondering if with less bottle feeding and temperatures near 90* F, they may get too hot.

I would put out a bucket of electrolytes and plain water.

Also make sure they have plenty of shade.

I agree. Use buckets for the water and electrlytes, and just let the middle of the day bottle go.

Thank you all. Plenty of shade, water buckets everywhere.

I did a 1/2 bottle at mid-day before cutting it out, but I’m a sucker, sooooo...there’s that! They still cried, it was not fun!
