I just weighed my Toggenburg doeling and she's 4 months old and weighs 33.6lbs. Is that a good weight for her? Or should I be upping her grain. Also I have an alpine doe I weighed and she weighs 138.8 and she looks fat to me. Or is that about the weight for a dry alpine doe? Thanks in advance!

I am not sure about your Toggenburg but you have a pretty nice size Alpine doe. :)

Some pictures of her would help. You can't judge her by her rumen. If you can see her hip and pin (?) bones, the chances are she is not fat. :)

What a beautiful doe! Can't tell for sure but from the first picture, I think she can probably gain a little more...or at least not 'fat'.

Well my adult nubians are around 150 so I'd say your girl isn't too off track......it just depends on what they look like......can you see ribs?

I also think Nubians are the bigger of the two anyway
