So I went to a farm to get hay on Friday - and they had their dairy cows in the area where the hay barn is. It seemed SOOOO weird to see more then two teats - it just looked so strange and foreign - like something was wrong with it.

So then I was looking at an ad for a cow and calf and that was the first thing that I noticed -

    WEIRD

The worst part is trying to explain this whole "weirdness" to someone that is not a "goat" person - Like Hubby

I thought it was funny only seeing 2 on a goat! (Or horse for that matter) I was used to cows, dogs, and pigs who have more than 2.

Don't feel bad. We raise cattle too and just yesterday I was just sitting there watching them while all the goats' water troughs filled up and one of our cows walked by and I almost blurted out "OMG she has extra teats!" I've raised cattle wayyyyyyyyyy longer than I've raised goats and it still caught me off guard  It just looked so weird. Maybe it's because I milk the goats everyday so that's what's normal to me. I don't think it would have looked so weird and caught me off guard as bad if her bag was full but she just weaned a calf a couple of months ago so she's dry. It was weird seeing 4 of 'em just hanging there

We have a mega dairy near us, we drove past what we think is their quarantine pen the other day, and hubby commented on how huge the udders looked, lol!
