Jury Summons

Thankfully it is Petit Juror!

It isnt that I dont; want to serve............they just need to take the court house OUT of Camden! :angry:

So now I need to tell my dad so he can plan to take me - I will NOT go unless he takes me! Camden is so dangerous. I don't care if my Police officer friend says it is a "safe" part of town.....he is a police officer of course he isnt' scared! I am a single tall blonde....nope not doing it alone. And my dad wouldnt let me even if I wanted to

Anyway I hope I have good stories to tell

oh and my court date isn't till June 25th - so thankfully I dont' have anything planned for then. I just need to get off of work

Ick, no fun! I have to serve July 1st, the date of my EMT exam! :GAAH: So, I asked for an extension. We will see what happens.

I got one too last week, told me plan on 30 days for each trial, one end of June the other mid July :GAAH:
I already served 5 years ago, have to be there 8 am till they release us, now I have to find a sitter for my 10 yr old dd :GAAH:

Sorry Stacey....that really sucks! I was called here last January and had to take off work...blah..blah...blah...Had to be at Kittanning Courthouse by 8am and I really hate to drive in un familiar areas, last time I was there was 4 years prior to pick up my carriers permit ,anyhow, We sat and sat for 3 hours and was allowed a "break" at 11, came back in and was told that both parties pleaded guilty so there was to be no trial...I WAS SO GLAD...was not looking forward to being picked and missing all that work! The jury "pay" sucks too! Though I did get $#18.00 for the 22 mile drive.

My mom got called to jury duty once, she said that it was a trial that could have lasted 5 minutes but they drug it out for 2 weeks.

Although I will say, two counties north of us they are trying to get concealed carry, I'm praying that they can get it passed because if they do it will be a stepping stone for the rest of us.

yah well our stupid governer got himself into a crash and almost died (let alone all the other peoples lives he endangered) because he wasn't wearing his seatbelt - which is a LAW! :angry: I wonder if he goat a ticket :scratch: :roll: His motercade was going so fast and they had no reason to be going that fast :veryangry:

oh, and if you think your government is messed up, in IL, our governor doesn't even live in Springfield, he lives in Chicago which means NOTHING gets done. He takes a jet to a from every day. Those plane rides cost $1000 a day!!!

Since we've had 2 earthquakes in 4 years he's also decided to start and earthquake committee, yep, that does a lot.

and Chicago is even worse(they practically control the state actually) Daley has park bench inspectors, and you know how much money they make? $80,000 a year!

No way would I want to have jury duty in Camden! I always thought it was funny how they only paid you $5.00 a day.

And our Governor is a big hypocrite..he claims to be a strong advocate on seatbelt safety, but look what happened to him...

Shockingly- MN lets you have concealed carry.
I think MN is the second most liberal state to California. :wink: I swear, if we joined Canada tomorrow, it wouldn't make a difference. :doh:

What a great Dad!!

My jury experience was pretty interesting, I never got actually picked to be on the jury, although my name got called everytime, they'd excuse me after they asked all the questions. And it was pretty funny cause one of the lawyers got the biggest kick out of my goats and was always saying something about them.
