The beer isn't going to hurt him. Buy the darkest beer you can find with low alcohol content. More than 3.5% is marked on the bottle. Start giving thiamin if you have it. Cud transplants aren't hard...they just require sneakiness and a wooden spoon...

Well, you sneak up on a non-suspecting goat that's chewing his cud happily, grab him by the fur on the back of his head and scoop the cud out of his mouth, with the wooden spoon. Then you force it down the throat of the sick goat.

sounds like his rumen is having trouble, good advise given... .. If you have probios give that too..I would be doseing him with C D Antitoxin if you have it too..NO Grain, until he is 100% its hard to digest when the rumen is off...

have you taken his temp?

Temp is good. I took it when I brought them all in tonight. So some beer tomorrow, more MOM too. Some b complex with thiamin in it... Probably some more electrolytes with probiotics too. I'm hoping to see cud chewing before I need to do the transplant though... Thanks!!

So off to the store for the beer... Got home guess who was happily chewing his cud???? Yep you guessed it:) Then they all wanted treats and Mr. Linus was first in line... Yep he's good....:) Thanks all for your help!! It's much appreciated:)

You know what??? He didn't eat his grain again:( I'm like so dude what is wrong with you.... He's missing some teeth, he's a year and a half... I looked at his tongue before but not his teeth really... I then got him a banana and he chomped that sucker down:) Not sure if his previous issues were teeth, but he's good to go now..:) Thanks everyone:)
