What do breeders mean when they say "wether type does" or great wether sire?
They are referring to a meat type buck, typically Boer, that throws nice meat kids to show for FFA or 4-H market show. Or in the case of a doe, they are does that throw market wether type kids, ie: long, tubular, packed full of muscle is the trend right now.
icboers...got it..... :thumb:
Yup, market lambs are the same... "Wethersire" that means they *should* make some extra special exceptional market goat/lamb offspring! Yum!
