After staying at a friend's barn for two weeks while my does were at fair, my Nigie wether just got home last night. Everything seemed fine when he got back in with the does last night, but this morning when I came to feed, his one scur had broken off and was bleeding profusely. He also seems pretty mad/scared of his petite little Nigie sister so I think I know who did it. Anyway, I dabbed off the blood that was there and he is now seperated from the other goats, but I'm wondering what else I should do in order to keep it from getting infected/stop it from bleeding?
Also forgot to ask if he should be given a tetanus shot? He is about 1 1/2 and is up to date on his CD&T as far as I know...I got him in June I believe and know he was up to date when I got him.
Okay, thanks! Haha yep, I'll put them in together, it's just really hilarious because now he's scared of her and he's twice her size!
