These come off with the maple leaves. Can goats eat them?

The tree was here when we moved in. They love the leaves. I don't know what kind of maple it is. I'll just throw away the seed pods... Thanks so much 😊 💚

I would LOVE to have an Oak tree,but you don't see many in the high desert where we are.

Haha yes I love oak trees too! We only have cotton trees in our yard. We like them except the tops of them are dead cause of a porcupine!😂

By the leaves there, it's definitely not an ornamental maple. Ornamental maples have red leaves all the time. 😉

We call them helicopters. They are just seed pods. Really shouldn't hurt the goats. But you can always remove them for wildlife food if you feel better about them not eating it.

ksalvagno, we called them "noses". We would peel open the seed side and put them on the bridge of our noses to look like Rhinos!
