what do you feed your goats to keep weight up during and after pregnancy?
I am currently using Alfalfa pellets.
With my Lamancha I am going to need a secret formula to keep weight on her after kidding----fat just melts off her because she nurses kids 24/7.
    Any suggestions/ Ideas?

Premium alfalfa hay and/or pellets. I might try Beet Pulp (maybe) if needed. Just about all of our does do great on the alfalfa hay and their grain ration. For milking does, I usually give at least two cups of grain a day, sometimes more, sometimes less, depends on their conditioning.

Oh, yes. We LOVE Fastrack!! :D I bought a 5 lb. bag back in June I think, split it with my aunt in half and have been using it on my goats at home (which is about 6; give or take a goat) and still have some left! Good stuff it is. :)
