What do you guys think of my FF doe, Sophie? What do you think of her udder? She is due July 21. She is 13 months old. I just cannot wait til she kids. Really hoping for a blue eyed doeling!! I am just so excited. I also have 3 people on a waiting list for her kids so that great also!
Oh and by the way, what do you think of my clipping and setting/stacking job? This is my 4th time clipping a goat and her first time being clipped. This is also my 2nd time stacking out a goat. Not sure if that's what you call it??

Edited to Update: She has bagged up quite a bit this morning, her ligs are becoming less noticeable. She should be due in 3 days!!! Cross your fingers for blue eyed doeling(s)!!!

Re: What do you think of my first freshener??? Due July 21!

she is looking good. I say twins

We call is "setting up a goat"

I would put her front legs a little bit more forward. Her rear legs if you can try to turn them a little at the hocks so that she stands more with straight legs.

    otherwise looking good

I'm not a competant goat critique, so I'll just be the first to say, what a pretty doe! Love her color, blue eyes, clip job looks great to me. She has a pretty little udder! Are you sure of the due date? She's very pretty, congrats!

OK, I'll be second then, Stacey beat me to it!

Some people call it stacking, squatting and I tend to call it punching or stacking.

She looks pretty good. When she's in full milk her legs will spread out. While she's not full its better to set her up with her back legs wide.

You did a great job clipping and setting her up!

Thanks! Yep, positive on her due date. We put the pair together in a kennel for 1 day...that was enough to do the trick!!

You have a very pretty doe there, love the color and blue eyes. You did a great job clipping her too. I'm still working on that. Just clipped my buck yesterday and thought I did pretty good, I didn't clip really short but you can see his nice conformation better now. :) I would place her rear legs a bit further apart (looks a little like she toes out but that could just be the pic) other than that, she looks good. Hope she does well for you in the kidding pen!
