OK... so what do the *M and *S and all of the * mean when reading a pedigree???? My mom is buying a couple nigie does and one is bred to a buck that has that stuff on every goat in his immediate background.... so I'm curious.

    Hi, Jess.

According to ADGA, *B Stars on bucks are earned by virtue of parents with [milk] production records meeting ADGA minimums; +B Plusses on bucks are earned by virtue of offspring meeting ADGA requirements; 2*M Two Star Milker - Second successive generation of a doe line that has earned a star based on minimums set forth by ADGA.

I don't know anything about *S, but I think that might be the AGS "version" of the above.
