Sorry for the title guys, I can think of how to word this. I'm wondering about the old scrappy toggy doe I was given a few weeks back (I re-named her Meg, I just couldnt think of her as Stacey lol)

When I palpate her left side fairly high up under her short ribs and of course behind her true ribs ... I can feel quite a hard area, that would easily fill my hand.

    What is it?

I know you should have just rumen on the left, and the other stomachs, intestines and pregnant uterus on the right. But I dont know what this hard thingo is ... is it an impacted rumen? But she's not at all crook. Is it a kiddo? But they are supposed to be on the right ...

    Or is it something else?

    Your thoughts, please?

Could it be some kind of old injury? That does sound weird

    Hmmmm............

    Is she pooing OK?

I don't think it would be a kid.....on the left side at the ribs....

I would think if it is impacted.... that she couldn't poo?

Yes, she's perfectly normal, no problems whatsoever. Its just weird.

Its definitely something 'inside' her, its not attached to the skin or anything, because I can move it around a bit when I touch it.

hmm, a tumor isnt a bad thought.

She's very very thin - but she's a rescue. Slowly improving since I've had her.
