So this thing has been on my buck for a bit and I have no idea what it is. It is really hard though.

    Does anybody have any ideas?

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

    Or could be mites starting?

How would I know if it's mites? And is it something to be really concerned about?

Mites are something to be concerned about. They will eventually cause anemia if left untreated. A skin scraping is needed to verify mites.

It looks like a callous I’d put NuStock on it.

Looks like a wart. It's not too uncommon to see. I think they are caused by a papilloma type virus. I would have a vet look at it.

Because a callus, mite infection and warts can often look similar. A vet check is a good idea.

    Mites leave behind scabby areas.
If it is a scab it might be that.

    Nu stock will work.

Be sure to remove any scabs before applying each time. Every 3 days.
