My 6 mo old ND wether has a raw spot on his side that he keeps wanting to scratch. I first noticed it about Monday and it was smaller than dime-sized, it's now up to quarter-size. The sore is round and raw. Not open and bleeding. I am keeping NuStock on it. He leaves it alone until the NuStock wears off, then he's back to scratching never giving it a chance to heal.

What might this be? Just dry skin that he's itched raw maybe? Is MTG that much different than Nustock to give it a try? Any other ideas or suggestions?

BTW, he's recently been treated with Ivomec injectable. He's had all 3 doses as of 3 weeks ago.

I thought about that, too. I sort of thought ringworm would appear more like dry skin, rather than red/raw, but maybe not.

Maybe I should treat for ringworm on the chance it is? What do you use on a goat for ringworm?
