Well, I have finally found a new vet :leap: He is coming out today to give my boys their shots (I did the girls myself, but the boys are just too strong!) And then I am going to have him test for CAE. What else should he test for? He mentioned something to my mom about a jones free herd? Or something like that :? Is this a blood test for all diseases? Thanks!
It is another type of disease that goats can get....it is good to test for that, CEA and CL. It is fatal gastrointestinal disease. The infection happens in the first few months of a goat’s life but the animal may stay healthy for a very long time. Symptoms of disease may not show up for many months to years later. This infection is contagious, which means it can spread from one goat to another, and from one species to another (cows to goats, goats to sheep, etc.)
