We had to help deliver stillborn twins with one of our our young does. It appears they died due to bad presentation (we came home to find one cold front limb protruding). We were able to extract each by severing the head at the neck as she was too small to get the head in the canal by hand otherwise. No vets available in our area despite calling 3. While PenG is available is their a better antibiotic to use? What can we do to help her recover?
PenG is fine. Do it twice a day for at least 10 days. If you can get your hands on some Banamine, 1cc per 100 lbs once a day for 3 days. Hemorrhoid cream on the back end also helps swelling. Sorry you had to go through it but great job getting it done.
I'd also do probiotics daily in between shots and also B Complex.
