Okay, one of my kinder girls that was sick a couple weeks ago, I thought she had dried up. Kind of a bummer but oh well, life goes on. I haven't tried to milk her in over a week. Last night I noticed her udder was full.. Wait, What? Really?:) I milked her out this morning and got 16 oz. I gave the milk to the chickens because if it was old milk I didn't want to chance it. Has this happened to anyone else? Can/should I keep milking her? If she is bred, which is likely she isn't due until January so I was hoping to keep her in milk until the beginning of November, then dry her up were my initial plans. She is a first time freshener, this next time will be her second and her first with me. Is it going to hurt her to try to keep her in milk?
