I have two little does - one born 11/09 (boer) and the other 12/09 (boer mix). They seem to be big enough for their ages. When will they be ready to breed? I was hoping to breed them next fall, is that too soon? Also If I want them to kid in late march or April of next year what month would I need to have them bred?

gestation for all breeds of goats is 150 days or conviently said 5 months.

So for a March/April kidding you will want to breed in November/December

The conventional way for breeding boers is to wait till they reach a year old before breeding them. So November/December breedings will put you at the right time for your kidding desires as well as ensure that the does are old enough
