So I spoiled my Nubian wether which was working out fine for him until the girls came along. Now he's turning into a brat and jumping on my head everytime I sit down. I got a 100lbd hoof to the lip tonight.
A whack on the rump does nothing for him.
If I bring in a treat he beats up the girls - who are pregnant finally!! And of course he butts them right in the sides everytime. My ND wether is picking up the same bad habits, so no more treats...

Any suggestions are appreciated, he's a big boy and if I don't intervene I fear I am going to have to seperate the girls from my wethers and wear a helmet in the barn. :sigh:
    Thanks,
    Caryn

Every time they do it give him a good whack across the nose, but not too hard. Just enough to tell him that you mean no. I have also heard people say a spray bottle of vinegar or something helps, but I just used a horse riding whip. It worked like a charm. My wether wont dream of jumping now. Good Luck!

Get a squirt gun or spray bottle and squirt him when he misbehaves....

Don't reward him ...when he is bad ...only when he is good.... :thumb:

Thanks for the tips, the nose whack just made him look at me like I was nuts!
I'll pick up a squirt bottle tomorrow, we'll see how that goes...
Yes, little moster is exactly what I was thinking at 50-60 lbs, big spoiled brat at 100!!!
He knows I'm a sucker for floppy ears and a goofy goat smile :)
