New to this myself, but it helps if you can describe the goat raising conditions your goats will be in (are they penned, what kind of pasture if not, etc... and how cold are your winters /climate etc....)....

I dont know how cold it gets, why I ask is that Boers are a Southern african breed best suited to hot climates, so they are great but there maybe a better breed suited to cooler climates out there, like KIKOS.....
