Ok so I have ALWAYS wanted a sammy....But I cant find one anywhere! I really want a puppy so I wanted to find a really nice breeder. Does anyone know where there are Sammy breeders in california....or even in surrounding states?
AKC's breed finder is kinda not very discriminating. Any body can list. If I were looking into a new breed I would google Samoyed National breed club or Samoyed club of America and look for the.. national breed club for AKC. They will have a breeders page or referral page. That's were I would start, as they are at least into the breed enough to participate in the national club, probably local breed clubs also. Ask about health checks, and dog sports, and all that good stuff. If they are into good breeding they'll be glad you are asking and it'll earn you brownioe points. If they seem annoyed at your questions or they make a lot of excuses might want to call some others and get a better owverall picture. Dogs are my thing, but not that breed sadly, although I rescued two a few years ago, and placed them. Super cute. I'll try to dig up the pictures.

Probably not purebred, but they sure were cute. Came into the clinic as strays, both "blind" but they had huge abcesses on their faces. It looked like another dog had attacked them. A little clip, clean, drain, and alot of antibiotics cleared them up mostly. One of them was still blind and probably permanantly damaged in one eye, but the new owner was going to an eye specialist to try to save it. It didn't slow her down any, she was a fast learner. They were super super shy when they came home but as you can see, they came around with love.
