Will it happen every year???

My goats got mites this winter and they’re almost all gone, this was my first winter with goats, will they get mites again next winter?? I hope not , what are some things I can do to prevent them from getting them again? I clean their pen very often at least one or twice a week , I also give them garlic I think that helps with mites. Hopefully mites aren’t a yearly issue. Thanks again

Boosting immune system will help. Feeding fresh raw garlic, daily/weekly probiotics...good minerals and being well fed help

I had the same question. Last year my bucks got mites bad, and he girls got lice. This year there was a lot of scratching, but all I could find were earmites on my one buck. I think it helped to see the problem right away, but he still scratched himself for months. I do a lot of brushing to help him.
For the probiotics, do you give it all winter to prevent mites?
