Wow...that's a bright idea. Find a stray puppy and assume it's going to be a good guard for your sheep. Turns out to be a wolf...oh my. After all that it's been through, how to they plan on successfully returning it to the wild? Bizarre story, that's for sure!

That is pretty bizarre. I love the description of him after saying what he thought the pup was "the sheepish farmer explained" lol I'm sure there was no pun intended.

I guess at least he cared enough to take in a stray. :shrug:

But I certainly wouldn't use that dog as an LGD.

I knew a man that was breeding wolves with dogs (a friend of a boyfriend long past) The wolves and the first gen offspring were so unpredictable. So wild. They got less so as some of the wolf was bred out. I visited his house once and there were certain areas where the wolves were kept that we had to avoid. Even as pups they seemed so different from dogs.

Puppies are cute and all but wolves are at least a touch scary even young they have a wild look in their eyes.
