It looks like Chantilly did not abort all the fetuses in December. Her belly is growing really big and shes got a big softball sized udder. She bled for 3 weeks and I thought for sure it was over for this season. The Togg is still doing well about carrying her kid(s) and getting bigger daily. Hopefully Tilly's due date of 2/22/09 is correct, also hopefully its going to be considerably warmer. I put 2 more bales of pine bedding in the goat house and froze my ....ah um... backside off. Temp right now is 16°F. Both goats were shivering from the cold so I gave extra hay.

I can't wait till they deliver and I have more babies and MILK. I am drooling over the thought of goat milk ice cream. I can't eat the regular stuff since my stomach complains so much afterwards.

I do hope that she does well with this pregnancy, continuing to grow and form an udder after a presumed miscarriage is agood sign!
