Hi All,

I have a Saanen doe who is expected to kid 9/1/2013. Not having any problems with worms at the moment, but I have been reading the post about worming.
My question is should I worm her before the kidding date and if so how far in advance? 1 month, 2 weeks? I am already planning to worm her and kid (s), on the day of delivery. I normally use horse wormer Zimectrin Gold or Ivermectin.

Thanks

Unless she has an obvious worm problem or you had a fecal to determine she has parasites, I would wait till she delivers.

I prefer to worm the day they kid since the stress of kidding can open the dorrway to worm load...I treat with Vabazen in new moms...its a great broad base wormer and also gets tape worms ..and its oral...1 cc per 10#
