Today my son and I were in the goat barn giving copper Bolis to all the breeding age goats when I looked down on the barn floor ( wooden with wood shavings) and there was a small amount of worms maybe 3-4 they were alive may be 1/2 inch or less in size.. I stepped on them I did not see any more. Did they come from the goats? What kind of worm? I hope there not barber pole. I have never seen live worms I've seen the rice looking ones after a worming.

Most worms (except tape) cant be seen with the naked eye.
Any standing water or excess moisture where you saw them?

Hmm. The reason I asked is cause sometimes I find these little thin white worms in the goat's water. They ball up together & are called horse hair worms if I recall correctly. Pam solved that mystery.
And other kinds of worms in the kitty's water bowl.
Can you post a pic?
