My Nigerian buck started limping yesterday. Today he isn't wanting to eat. It has been raining daily here and the area we keep them is staying very wet. He does have a dry shelter to go into.

I don't see anything obviously wrong with his hoof, but I am a newbie. I'm attaching pictures of the sore hoof.

I havecleaned it and applied Dr. Naylor Hoof 'n Heel 2 times.

What leg is it? Front or back?
How old is he?
Check the joints of that leg. Any heat or swelling? Full range of motion?
Hoof does appear to need some trimming. The wall is separating from the sole. Remove that part of the wall that is separated the best you can.
It is his front right leg. I did feel up and down his leg and he didn't appear to have any issues however the heel (not sure that's the right term) a little above his hoof, maybe ankle height, has a bit of white under it. He does flinch and pull away when I put the hoof 'n heal on it.

Those cuts in the back of the heel need to really be scrubbed out with a toothbrush to see how deep they are. It’s a prime place for infection to settle. It could explain his gimp.
Have you taken his temp? (Normal rectally is 101.5*-103.5*F)
Hows his FAMACHA?

Once you’ve cleaned the heels please take another picture.
Could the “white” by his dew claws be mites?
