Hello everyone!

I have a six month old buckling who I just realized has teats on his scrotum. I recently decided to casterate him anyways because he isn’t growing out great, but my question is, how do I do it?
I use the Burdizzo, and I think the tests are just about where I would normally clamp! Should I go above then or below?

thanks so much!!

That is very strange. I’ve never seen something like that. What is your long term plan for him? If he’s headed to freezer camp, I’d lean towards keeping him intact and using an apron if you are keeping him with does.
If you do really need to castrate, I’d clamp where it makes sense. Which I can’t tell from the pictures if that would be above or below. I also use the burdizzo.

Can you get a picture holding him up by his front legs but not touching his scrotum so we can see how everything hangs naturally…it might help.

No matter which, it’s not a trait you’d want to pass on, so castration would still need to be done.
