If you guys hunt you can apply for a elk license and have freezer food

That is a good idea! My brother is thinking about doing it next year but I am a bit worried my family might like it better than goat and then wonder why we go to the trouble of raising our own! 😂

We really enjoyed the sun because we hadn't really seen it for two months but I think it is over for now as it is raining buckets again!
We paid $70 for our sled but it was a lot less than a wheelbarrow so we decided to go for it and it sure has made hauling hay and water around a lot easier!🙂

After I get the hay spread I let the goats go!

I think Tinker was finding me annoying as I wanted her to look at the camera so I kept calling her name! 😂

After I get the herd fed I take the bucks their breakfast and walk the fence lines because I am afraid of the elk taking out the fence and the goats escaping if I don't find it first. I really hope they keep jumping it and don't decide to push it over.😟

On my walk out is my favorite tree which is an Engelman Spruce and it smells lovely.

When I get to the road I can see the mountains!

Which were out in all their glory!

They are so beautiful against the blue sky!
That is all I have got for now except for some of Mocha and Caramel but I am going to post them in my Kidding thread.🙂

So happy to hear the boys made it home safe 🤗
You got some beautiful pictures while the sun was out. We are also back to cloudy grey skies with an atmospheric river on its way thru the next day or two.
I hope the Elk just decide to go around altogether now that they can’t access the hay! But it’s a good idea to check the fence regularly just in case.

The clouds broke this evening so we went for a quick walk!

We went up our drive and passed the herd eating their hay.

And these two lovely ladies decided to join us!

The lighting was really neat.

Even though we were in the shade the sun was still shining on the mountains!

That is the county road in the foreground and as you can see it is completely covered in snow!

The girls were enjoying the evergreens with the powdered sugar on top!😂

They are silly girls!

It was a lovely little walk!🥰

It finally stopped snowing today and we had some blue sky though the sun never came out.

This was this morning before the snow started dropping from the trees. It was amazing to watch the avalanches come down, it definetly wasn't safe to walk through the woods! 😅

This evening my family finally let me out of the house and we went for a short walk!

The mountains were just peaking over the clouds.

We did see Elk over on the neighbors property across the road.😕
On the way back to the house I got to visit my goats and Tinkerbelle was so happy to see me! She is such a sweet heart!🥰
