What do you like to feed your critters?
I feed a mix for my milkers but mainly premium dairy goat made by blue seal. And I feed the rest of the herd ( all doe herd) caprine challenger also by blue
Seal.
What is your favorite feed and who do you feed it too?

I use the Blue Seal Premium Dairy Goat with Beet Pulp and Alfalfa Pellets for my milkers... My Jr.'s get the same (-the beet pulp) just a very tiny bit... they really just get it so they quite down LOL!

I was on a grain free kick until we got hit with a drought and there's no browse left, so now I feed A&M 18% sheep/goat pellet with decoxx and free choice alfalfa hay and pellets. Maybe when we get some rain and browse I'll take them off grain and can do the grass only thing.

Right now I'm feeding 12 cups split between 6 goats. They can eat what they and are pretty good about sharing. They get fed once a day. They also get free choice horse minerals.

I've fed all my goats Caprine Challenger by Blue Seal for the last 8 years, 4 years ago I started adding BOSS and Calf Manna to it and most recently, my milkers got added beet pulp shreds.

All here have done wonderful on it and I won't change unless I can't get it anymore.

I mix my own. My mix is as follows:

3 parts chaff (I am using lucerne chaff atm as the girls are in their last trimester of pregnancy but usually I use a shandy mix of oaten, wheaten and lucern)
1 part flaky bran
1 part whole lupins
1 part barley (or oats or wheat if I cant get barley) - sometimes I soak this portion for a day in apple cider vinegar, molasses and water

I feed all my goats on this, 500g for maintenance, 500g for pregnancy, 500g per litre of milk produced, bucks get the same as a 4.5L milker.

It seems to be working well, when they are on the milk stand they also get just a general goat, cattle or horse muesli (sweet feed)

I'd love to try the Blue Seal for my dairy goats but it's not available in my area. I keep experimenting with different feeds trying to find the best one. I'm feeding my 1 milking doe a Calf starter feed from ADM right now she loves it but my other milking doe doesn't. So frustrating.

I feed our Boer does Noble Goat pellets mixed with corn. All our kids get Noble Goat pellets only till about a year then we switch them over to adding corn in with it.
