Hey guys. This is Cookie, I have had her for about 2 weeks. She is around 2 months old. Shortly after having her I noticed her limping. My husband felt her shoulder and it just popped right back in place and she walked fined. But now it seems to happen often and both shoulders are doing it. We pop them back in and she walks/plays just fine. I am going to the vet today but i wanted to see if anyone else has had these issues? Thanks!

Awe. Poor girl. Selenium or A&D maybe needed. Let us know what the vet suggests

Thanks guys for the input. The vet was not much help. He said that he believes it's a chronic condition & she will need surgery. That he does not do there. I suggested the selenium deficiency & he said most goat feeds have that. I just looked & mine did so I'm not sure. But any way I have a message to a vet school & they are suppose to call me back. I'm located in south Arkansas if any one knows a good vet. I would much prefer low vitamins than surgery!

Try giving her cod liver oil. Get the human capsules and poke a hole in it and squeeze it in her mouth. I’d do it every day for 5 days then every three days for three doses. Also pick up some selenium/vitamin e gel and give her a dose once a month. I hope it helps. Most feeds are low in selenium that’s why most of us supplement monthly.

Cod liver oil and selenium won't hurt. I would do cod liver oil at the rate of 0.1 cc per 2.2 pounds 2 x a day for 3 days then go 2 x a week for 2 weeks. See if that begins to offer solution.

If you have access to quality Essential oils. Lemongrass is great for tendons.just make a rub and massage in. Dr Christopher has a herb blend for tendons, bone and skin. It's great stuff.
