I'm having to dry off my milker early due to moms dementia getting out of hand. I'm on every other day milking for over a week, now at just under 3 days before she starts getting too tight. Off grain, alfalfa cut back to bare minimum. She's a fairly heavy producer. I've been using the mastitis test cards along with checking her under. This morning is day 3 shy a few hours and the card turned slightly green. Is this mastitis?

Give her milk a little taste. Salty taste can indicate possible mastitis
I have never used the mastitis strips. Im not sure how accurate they are. i would do as suggested and feed her back milk a few times to help her body fight against any bacteria she may be builidng. But if milk looks good and taste good, should be good.
