I have been raising goats for 7 years and have not creep fed. I am planning in doing it this year and bought a feeder with a pen to make more weight to sell before the Summer and have better weaning weights with less stress on them. The kids are now 1 month old. The question I have is do I need to give CDT shots before creep feeding? Also is there any down sides to not giving the booster until weaning but having them on creep feed until then? The does were given CDT shots before kidding. I usually wean and give CDT around 2-3 months old when they are big enough to run through the sorting pen. Any help is appreciated thanks.

I set my creep feeder out when the wee ones are 2 weeks old. I feed purina goat grower a medicated feed free choice to wee ones. I given the CDT at 1 month then booster 3 weeks later.
