The two bezoars are bucklings and the light caramel is a doeling! I'm super excited about her. Mia had a kid last year like her but was a buck. I'm not sure is she's quite done yet but I need to leave for work. She did really good!

Aww Congrats!!!! They are beautiful kids! Does someone else help with deliveries when you are not home? Hopefully if she has another all goes well!
Thanks! No, I don't have help unfortunately. She has kidded twice without me though so I have full confidence in her abilities.

Yay! The caramel critter is a girl! 😃 I suppose you'll be adding her to your collection of Bodhi daughters? 😆 Great job Mia! I hope she doesn't surprise you with any more by the time you get back.😬
Guilty 🫣🤭

Congratulations! Well done, Mia! So happy for you to get a little keeper doeling!
Thank you!

Lookit these cuties 😍 She spared me and still only had the three. She did actually have a fourth fetus that she passed with the first kid. It had it's own sack and was just a small bag of fur and bones. It felt like maybe a spine and some leg bones and was in total about the size of a baseball. Either Mia has done a very thorough job of burying it in the bedding or the cats got it because I can't find it for a picture.

Mildred farrowed yesterday morning. She had 8, 4 of which are alive. After looking at the babies and doing a field necropsy, what I believe happened in that one of the placentas detached during labor and the piglets on it all aspirated. The first piglet was all tangled in a placenta and never took a breath, then another still born. The next two were born alive but didn't survive long. She has 4 healthy piglets, after which she delivered another placenta. She had 3 boys and 5 girls. 2 of each are left.

Carrie is due tomorrow and Agatha is due on Monday. Hoping for some smoother labors for them.
