You can give it multiple times per day. Just tastes like water. I have cured pneumonia in cats using it. I'd give them 1cc every hour during waking hours until a day after they are well. One of my cats was super bad and he was well in 5 days.

did you give that specific one, one time i was looking at silver, but there was so many % and so many brands and pricing. But if you think it will help, all give it a try. She is so sweet and her sister looks super nice in another herd.

quick question, going to send in a fecal to meadowmist, when should i get a sample.

She was given corid last day was the 6th i believe. I want to see how wormy she is plus see her count for coccidia, every time i am done with corid or sulfa for coccidia her stool gets clumpy. she hasnt had "berries" much since i brought her home, its either dog log type or liquid(if i miss the coccidia dose). she has been getting yogurt 6 days a week and loves it. orange peels at least 2x a week. Her rumen size is much better but she still has a bad haircoat. she is still coughing a bit so wondering if she has liver flukes as i preety much live on a snail/slug farm :(

so its been, aprox 7 months since i brought her home.
Still having issues with the poor girl. we have a routine of getting extra leaves/yogurt away from the other goats.at least 5 times a week. 1-2x a day.
-issues still going on-
-coughing all the time, like a smokers hack. usually with head raised or after eating. i do have a few that do that too lately from the weather change, but she has been doing this for months.
-new thing the last few days is a yukky snotty nose.

I will take her temp tomorrow. but she is still perky and happy to see me. her small rumen seems to be filled every time i visit her, so she eats her hay after everyone is finished.

-- still on the monthly coccidia prevention which keeps her from having diarrhea.

i was considering moving her with the does and older kids as they get alfalfa, but now im thinking that might be too much of a change for her system. I am not sure if i can sneak enough alfalfa during feeding that it would help the transition.
also im not sure if she has something that would transfer to the kids although they are healthy chunky kids and she is only a driveway in between the kids.
or just wait until mid-sept when i move everyone to the doe pen and move her where the kids were plus a couple yealings for buddies.

I havent been able to order the silver yet but plan too. I can only dose her 2x a day though so not sure if its worth it?
should i deworm her without a fecal? seems like her immune system just isnt great compared to everyone else. I can start giving her vit b complex shots again if you guys think it would help? Her coat is very fine on her back from what i think is lacking a mineral. i plan to dose her again with a multi min but like a 25 pound dose like last time.

I was gone from my mini farm for a week to visit my mom. I came home and Windy looked the same. this is great as she didnt get any pellets or extra goodies. I did check her eye lids and they were a bit pale. I gave her vit b complex and she got to mow my weeds in my yard for a few hours. I also gave her chlorophyll and plan to give it every day for the rest of the week. i did accidently give her a double dosed her this morning, as i forgot i was going to give half of the syringe the next day. she loves chlorophyll. Also gave her some replamin yesterday and offered today, but she didnt want it. So might try replamin every other day. Hoping it will help her hair coat,as she is bald in a few areas and her summer coat didnt come in very well.
i am hoping to get a fecal sample sent out end of the week and see how high her coccidia count is and what dewormer would be better to use.
She still has the cough and now a cold, snotty nose.

I tried to put her with the does and kids before i left, but she went thru the hot wire to get back to the doe pasture. Only other thing i can do, is put her back in the stall in the barn, but she would have to go thru the pecking order again and not sure if that would be very good since she is really low.
i am also debating on giving her some antibiotics, but her good bacteria is finally doing its job and i would hate to have to start all over.
I am hoping by this winter she will be all better. She is still a happy doe.

on another note. I skipped the corid for my kids and they are doing fantastic. born early march and they are very healthy looking. i plan to move them to the doe pen in the next few weeks, so they can be weaned. currently they grew up by the barn and hillside. The hillside is eaten all down, so it would just be a mud slide if i dont get some grass growing before winter. I thought giving them an extra few weeks without the 3 week dose of corid would be beneficial before going to the doe pasture with likely higher coccidia count.

I’m glad Windy seems to be doing ok.
Good luck with the kids. Remember the stress of weaning might bring on a load, so be careful with skipping.
Thanks, that’s why I’m waiting a bit longer. I’m trying to decide what will work the best. Some of the kids are 3/4 the size of the dam. I may try to tape teats first.

whats everyone's opinion?
Im thinking of doing another round of antibiotics.
She has had a half dose of multimin.
dosed with quest plus
her corid is due next week

she is housed with another doe in the barn at night for extra feed. ive been putting off dosing her again because her rumen is finally working preety well, but her hacking is not any better.

I would do a full course of antibiotics. If it was Draxxin you used, you want to give a second shot for a full 14 day course.
i have draxxin and nuflur. i can give probiotics 14 hours after antibiotic right. (or whenever i get off of work). which one should i use? i think the draxxin left a bump but im not 100 percent sure.

Probiotics can be given, say you give the antibiotics in the morning you can easily give it in the evening or when you can.
