Hi there,
just wanted to introduce myself, which I *should've* done before starting to post! I've been a lurker for literally years on TGS and other goat forums. I recently realized that just maybe, if I had benefited from the information on TGS for all this time, I should go about the business of helping others as I've been helped... not that I have anything on the people who've been raising goats for decades before I succumbed to the addiction
but that I might have something, an experience, a tidbit, or a perspective to share. We've owned Nigerians, Oberhaslis, crosses, Mini-Alpines, Miniature and standard Nubians. At this point our herd consists of registered Miniature and standard Nubians.
THANK YOU, members of TGS, for so much information in one location just waiting to be mined! It was instrumental in my having the confidence to own goats to begin with, and directly responsible for correctly diagnosing and treating several health crises over the years.
