Over 8 months. They can start as early as 2 months but not reliable.

I've been using 3 bucklings this fall that were 5 months and 6 months old when I started breeding. You just have to be careful that you don't over do them and wear them out.

 

Thanks! I found a buckling who is exactly what I've been looking for in a herdsire, but he is only 6 months old. I only have 2 does I want him to breed though, so Ill probably go ahead and let him run with them this winter. See what happens ☺
